The misty water world of “Holland,” Connecticut’s rainy “Saugatuck," the shrouded mountains of Japan's “Lake Chuzenchi” and "Brooklyn Bridge" evoke in me a sense of beauty hidden in gray landscapes. "I Dream of a Gentler City" was inspired by the tragedy of 9/11. “NYC Fantasy,” painted symbolically on gold paper, suggests the city's splendiferous culture and wealth. "Shinsei Reborn" is a symbolic portrait of the Japanese bank, commissioned by a consortium of Japanese and U.S. bankers to celebrate their collaboration.
